I never had a proper blog category before and “Imagine the week” is the first time I am doing something like that.
The idea is to post my favourite image or images I have taken during the week on here and just share them with you. Every Friday.
These can be street photographs, a mixture of genres or recent jobs I have done. The images may be brand new or a bit older, depending on how I feel.
The most important thing with this weekly post is to give readers and insight into my creative process and mind so to speak. I am not going to explain the images in great detail as they should speak for themselves most of the time and as a photographer and yes, artist, I feel the need to share my work and maybe how I felt at the time. The photos may be messy, without regard to technical accuracy or they may be strong as they originate from a job when being on my “A Game” is a total must.
The images I am sharing with you today have actually been taken today. In Suffolk to be precise.
Technically, I once again used my Ricoh GRII and set it up to shoot in high contrast black and white. This is an in camera effect which I have come to love as it reminds of the images, Japanese master photographer Daido Moriyama has made over the years. Lots of grain, lots of contrast and my soft spot: Black and white.
So, welcome to “Imagine the week”:
